Graduating, Moving, Working

Within the last several weeks, I finished up my final courses, graduated from UCLA, packed up my whole life, and moved to NYC. Now I’m one week into my first job as a Data Scientist in Pfizer. It feels like I’ve aged several years in the last several weeks, and so many things have changed. Looking back, it’s hard to believe only a short while ago I was doing homework and preparing for exams.

However, I will always look back and remember how valuable UCLA’s Statistics department and curriculum were in giving me the foundation for even considering a career in data science. I’ve never really realized the depth and saturation of the material I was exposed to at UCLA until I got a few weeks to take it all in and reflect.
